The search is on for a killer in Hyde Park after a recent graduate of the University of Chicago was gunned down Tuesday, but it was one of several disturbing acts of violence that took place in the area. I assume (no evidence) that someone does straw purchases, or buys stolen guns then puts them on the streets of Boston and other cities. At 3:25 p.m. on April 29, Hyde Park Police, New York State Police, and other agencies were sent to the two-family house on North Cross Road for reports of shots fired. The first-arriving officers advised that a woman had sustained two gunshot wounds to the chest and requested the ambulance to stage away from the scene until it was safe to approach. Kemlage shot Feith after officers were unable to stop her with a taser, state police said, and she died at the scene.
